About the Role:
We are seeking a WordPress Web Designer who is also excited about supporting our online marketing efforts. In this role, you will not only design and develop WordPress websites but also assist with basic graphic design tasks and contribute to various aspects of online marketing. We are looking for someone eager to learn and expand their technical skill set, including SEO optimization, content creation, and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive, visually appealing WordPress websites tailored to client needs.
- Customize WordPress themes and templates to align with branding and functionality requirements.
- Support the marketing team with creating visually engaging graphics for social media, emails, and other marketing materials.
- Optimize website speed, performance, and SEO to improve user experience and rankings.
- Integrate third-party tools, plugins, and APIs to enhance site functionality.
- Assist with basic graphic design tasks using tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to produce website content that aligns with branding and goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring smooth performance across devices.
- Stay updated on WordPress, design trends, SEO best practices, and online marketing strategies.
- Be open to learning other technical aspects of website creation and online marketing, such as coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), SEO, content marketing, and email campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience designing WordPress websites (portfolio required).
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design.
- Proficiency in WordPress builders such as Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience or willingness to learn SEO optimization, website performance tools, and online marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to continuously learn and grow in both web design and online marketing.
